Our sister company, Cabbells, has been awarded the prestigious publishing contract for the flagship publication of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.
Cabbells, the sister company of CPL One, has been awarded the publishing contract for Kew magazine, the flagship publication of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. This significant win marks a new chapter for the magazine, which has long been admired for its authoritative content on botany, conservation, horticulture and plant science.
Cabbells was selected for its creative vision, editorial excellence and proven track record in producing high-quality publications for membership and cultural organisations. The company will be responsible for editorial, design, production and distribution of Kew magazine, ensuring the content continues to reflect the global importance of Kew’s scientific research and botanical collections.
The collaboration is set to strengthen the magazine’s role in connecting readers with the natural world, celebrating the work of Kew’s scientists, horticulturists and global partners. Cabbells aims to expand the magazine’s reach, enhance its visual appeal and bring fresh storytelling techniques to highlight the urgency of biodiversity conservation and the beauty of plant life.
“We are delighted to partner with Kew,” said Sarah Simpson, managing director of Cabbells. “Producing its fantastic magazine is a project we are very proud of. Our shared values around sustainability, science, communication and engaging storytelling make this an exciting opportunity.”
Kew magazine is a key membership benefit and an important channel for sharing Kew’s mission to understand and protect plants and fungi for the wellbeing of people and the future of the planet. Under Cabbells’ stewardship, the publication will continue to blossom, with innovations in content to attract a wider, more diverse readership. The first issue of Kew magazine under Cabbells’ direction was published in early June, ushering in a new era for one of the UK’s most respected environmental titles.
