Why we’re backing a campaign by many of the UK’s leading professional and membership bodies to boost skills and productivity.
At CPL One we work with dozens of professional membership bodies and trade associations. So we understand the pressures they face, and the hugely beneficial impact they have on both the UK economy and people’s individual livelihoods and careers.
That’s why we’re pleased to be backing a coalition of leading UK professional and membership bodies in their campaign urging the Government to work more closely with the sector to boost skills, productivity and public service reform.
Co-ordinated by industry body Memcom, the coalition brings together organisations that span business, public services, infrastructure, health, science, engineering, leadership and safety-critical sectors.
Together, they represent more than one million professionals, and help to set and maintain professional standards, accredit skills and support employers across the UK.
The campaign highlights “the unique role professional bodies play at the interface between employers, education providers and individual professionals, ensuring that skills and standards reflect real-world needs. Members of the coalition are already delivering major infrastructure projects, supporting safe and healthy workplaces, driving research and development, and transforming public services.”
